Reggie Eford Unlicensed handyman Ex-convict

Reggie Eford is an 40 year old ex-convict (the Arizona State Prison System, not even the county jail). He is an unlicensed "handyman" that solicits work in the Phoenix and Scottsdale and surrounding areas, both residential and small commercial operations. He cannot obtain a license because of his ex-convict status. He preys on the elderly many times going door to door telling them of needed roof repairs that he notices when he is on a neighboring property. He will do other contracting work, such as stucco work, that really is not needed, knowing that they are easy marks and will not be climbing on their roofs. He will also do paint jobs, plumbing and flooring. He performs shoddy work, and if the roof leaks, he will tell them the cause is in another area of the roof (or blame a neighbor's poor roof) and charge them for another repair job. He is unqualified. His business card contains only his first name and a cell phone number. He elicits fear in the elderly after-the-fact and they are afraid to complain to authorites about him. He also unable to obtain permits because of his record and consumers could ultimately be fined for work he does without the proper permits. Law enforcement has not be able to catch him "on the job" yet.in Arizona, per statute, the handyman is permitted only to perform work that is a sum total of $1,000 or less including labor and materials, and he has charged people several thousands for the poor work. Beware of this evil man!
