We purchased a new 4bed 2bath manufactured home 11/12. We have had to deal with one builder defect after another. When we did the final walk through the first thing that was a problem was having to use a step ladder to get into the home because the steps were not finished. Once inside we noticed that the vent system / microwave was not installed. Heritage claimed to have addressed the issue and that it would be corrected prior to settlement (not installed until a few days befor the new year). There was a bad seem in the roof which caused water to come through the ceiling fan and damaged a $1200 laptop. The cooling system was installed backwards which then burnt out the microwave. Since April, we have been dealing with including but not limited to bulging roof, edge swelling, gaps in the siding, buckled siding, severe sloped floors, a large hump in the livingroom about 2 inches high, high decking seams, failure to disclose common linoleum defects that could arise. (we have linoleum from wall to wall) After my problems, they now inform the customers. They used OSB decking as a subfloor w/o and underlayment (OSB should never be used under linoleum). The sales person who sold the home informed me that Heritage was having serious money problems and he had not been payed since January.in short. Both the builder and the retailer commited consumer fraud and abuse and are shady at best. They have been reported to every fed and state agency and I will not give up until Eagle and Heritage are put out of buisness. I have all types of e-mails and letters that verify all of my claims. We recently discovered that the microwave they installed before the New Year was purchased by the builder May 21. Our purchase agreement was not signed until 9/26. Where exactly did they pull that out of.
