Ripoff! Manager was nasty insulting me and rudely attacking my intelligence. Baltimore, Catonsville

I wished I had read about the roomstore. I bought a sofa and love seat and three lamps. The lamps were damaged. I spoke with the manager who attacked my intelligence, cursed me out, and wonder what type of business person I am since they slid in the information on what they do when you are handed the papers.

The lamps were damaged, I tried to get them returned and after much stress and strain I had to agree to pay 10% re-stoking fee. To add to this I was told afterwards that I had to pay $49 to have the damaged items picked up. Anyway to get out of this I promised to purchase the lazy boy chair and the ottoman. I was told that I would use the money for the refund to buy these. When I went to the store to purchase the new itmes I was told that I had to buy them first then the truck would pick up the damaged items when they deliver the new ones. I could only purchase the chair, and I asked if I could use the return money for the ottoman and pick it up at the store. The manager said no. They even tried to slide in $135 for fabric protection which I did not order.

These people are crazy. They are terrible. The customer service is terrible, and it is so unfortunate that even the sales people have to lie to protect the people above them. I am waiting to see if they will keep their word, and pick up the damaged items and refund my credit. Why do I have to pay 10% and pick up charge for damaged items. Where is the law when it comes to these people?
