2/9/10 I try'd to buy $100 worth of tools at Sears, Cupertino, CA. I tried for a half hour to get assistance to purchase two tools, but I found it impossible to buy anything so I walked out with my $100.
The sales assistant was totally outnumbered by customers and compounding the situation, didn't seem to care. An alternate assistant came to the rescue, however didn't know anything about the tools;and, waited on customers they first encountered rather than determining who was waiting the longest for assistance. So, after a half hour of feeling invisible I left.

I have read in the Wall Street Journal many times about the hard times Sears has been experiencing, and after this experience I can see why. It seems obvious to me that the management is not paying attention to the obvious weak spots in their business plan, which could dramatically improve their sales. Improve in-store service!
