Like it never happened - B.S.! - Water damage cleanup

Servpro 's motto "like it never happened" is the biggest BS line I've ever heard in the service industry. And I've been in construction service for 10 years! My issue was I had rain leak in from my roof from a bad storm. 1st They wanted payment upfront eventhough this was an insurance claim, and my insurance covered it. They wanted me to pay them (not the insurance company) my deductible. This totally screwed up the insurance adjuster and delayed my payment. 2nd, I had to take a total of 2.5 days off work, since they couldn't do this in the evenings. They sent in 5 to 7 different guys during these 3 days, and not one wiped their feet clean to walk on my light beige carpet. Let me illerate their service - they are suppose clean up the mess, not make a bigger one! Even the cable guy had paper booties to put over his shoes to walk in my home.
They do not do the actual repair work, but just clean up the mess (supposedly). They had to cut a approx 3' x 1.5' opening in my closet wall to get to and remove the wet insulation. And, like I said they don't do repair work, so guess what... The opening is still there! I had a very small stain in my ceiling from a tiny leak in the roof. These guys put more holes in my roof when they nailed down a tarp to cover the leak. So, instead of it being a two shingle replacement, it turned into 16. With my roof being 10 years old, this patch of 16 new shingles does not match the rest of the roof, and looks quiet obivious. This is the best part! They didn't bother to pick up all these roof nails (not 1 or 2, but nearly 20) they dropped on the ground with green caps on them so they blend in with the grass. I had no idea they were there until my daughter got a nice hole on the bottom of her foot!!!
Why did this take 3 days? Because they had to put 4 VERY LOUD fans, and a dehumidifier in my 1600 sq. Ft home to constanlty run for nearly 3 days, to get any water out of the carpet out. Ridiculous, because the pint of water that leaked out of the ceiling first leaked on my table for I assume about an hour (because of the very small amount) before I noticed it and put a bucket under it. 2 nights, me and my two kids had to stay at a friends house (20 minutes further away from my kids daycare) to sleep because the fans were so loud, you couldn't hear yourself speak, much less sleep.
Of course, they asked me to fill out a survey of their service before they were even finished, therefore I had no time to accurately rate their job. My biggest concern at that time was the stains they left on the carpet, and they assured me someone would be out to clean the carpet, so another day off work.

Nearly $1300 later plus the $400 worth of hours missed of work the extra 40 miles in gas for those 2 days, I had only a cleaner carpet, more holes in my roof, hole in my daughters foot, hole in my wall, and the stain still in my ceiling to show for their service.

I do not recommend them at all! What a waste of money and time!!!
