Poor workmanship, inability to follow through on a contract

We purchased a property from Devex Properties in 2009 and upon initial look, it was a beautiful home. They had "re done" everything on the inside of the home to be new and upgraded. We put in a full price offer and asked for them to fix a few things after inspection. The items we asked them to fix either were not fixed, failed inspection, or just looked very poor in quality. They told us at closing that they would come and fix the items that did not work inside the home (mainly electrical). They did.

We were FHA buyers so there were limits on when we could take possession of the home. They had over 40 days to fix all minor issues and did not do ANYTHING until the week prior to closing. At closing we went back and forth with them about needing to fix things and finally closed.

Now after living in the home for a few months, we have found that they did not install the kitchen counter top properly, the AC unit we asked them to install was the wrong size (it was stated in the contract for the correct size) the new electrical box is wired COMPLETELY wrong, the CO2 detector has never worked, and we have had to fix so many things that we would have expected not to break within a short period of time.

To make matters worse, we referred 2 different sets of friends to this company and they have had worse problems than we have. DO NOT buy a home from them unless you want to either go over the work with a fine tooth comb prior to closing or just re-do all the work yourself!
