Company may not exist

I saw a TV commercial for this company product, which was a set of plastic food containers where no matter the size, the same lid would fit all - for anybody who has ever used plastic food containers, you know how frustrating it is not to find a compatible lid. The offer was for $19.95 $7.95 shipping and handling, and the number of containers would be doubled. It would be a great holiday gift for someone.
It was all computerized - no human available - after I had given all my information and card #, the computer went on to mention other products they would send - there was no option to refuse them. I got concerned that this would be charged to my card. I tried to call a number which they gave to check the status of an order and realized that I had not received an order #, which meant nothing could be checked. I located a Customer Service # on their website and called there. That company said they had never heard of Wow Containers, but that they get many calls - that they think Wow just used their number to make consumers think they were legitimate.
I called my Bank immediately and deactivated the card # I had provided - I got lucky, the transaction had not yet gone thru, but beware of this wonderful offer - the company may not exist.
