We ordered a sectional sofa from eFurniture as we needed it before Thanksgiving. We were told by Jason Clark, sales manager, two different delivery dates and decided to cancel the order as it was going to be at the end of November. We had put down $750.00 in a check to Jason. We asked for the deposit back. A few days later, we were called by the delivery guy who was saying that the furniture was going to be delivered. We told him that it had bee canceled as we had been informed by Jason that it wasn't going to come in until the end of the month. We then called Jason, who has been rude and unprofessional, and told him what had occurred. Jason stated that we would be assessed a 20% re-stocking fee. We tried to speak with the General Manager or the Company owner.
Jason stated they were aware of the situation and he was authorized to handle it, he would not let us speak with them. We received our check and found out that eFurniture had also charged us freight, even though delivery is FREE. We were outraged. We tried calling Brian Clark, the General Manager, to no avail, he will not answer our voice meassages or come to the phone. We've been told he's in a meeting or on the other line with a customer, or gone home. We then found out that the owner is Jason's father and the GM in Jason's brother. We were never notified of the sofa being shipped (per the company's policy), nor did we received notification of cancelation (per company policy), nor did Jason state that we would be assessed a freight fee as well. Do not do online business with this company. Buy from a brick and mortar store, preferrably local. You will have little recourse with these guys. We lost $472.00 and received nothing but heartache and frustration from eFurniture.
