ARC came out on 9/21 to diagnose a problem. My fridge is freezing food and my ice maker is not making ice. Mike determined I needed new ice maker and diffuser, he told me to call his office for the part numbers. His office gave me the wrong part # for the ice maker.
Mike came out on 10/6 to install parts and discovered the mistake, installed a used ice maker he had on hand but it has not worked. Told me to wait a few days for the temp in the fridge to stabilize, it never did, still freezing food and not making ice. Spoke to Bill about the problem and was told if I want something done right I should do it myself! Was told a new ice maker will be ordered per Ross (never got to speak to Ross) and be in a few days. A week goes by and I'm told they want me to order the ice maker. They changed their story and have been nothing but rude and dragging this out for weeks.
Neil sent out Mike to look at fridge on 11/2, Mike says parts I got from factory are defective, he tried combining parts to see if it will work (were they defective when he installed them? He says they were working, two story's here) still waiting to see if freezing stops. I had to put tape over the vent to get temp in fridge up. Mike thinks this is reasonable solution! I still don't have a working ice maker. Neil offered to get me the ice maker I SHOULD HAVE HAD IN THE FIRST PLACE AND CHARGE ME $90 TO INSTALL IT. He hung up on me twice when he didn't like that I thought that was an unacceptable offer. It was wrong they made me call for the part #s in the first place and now they are shrugging responsibility. I have paid $252.20 and still have the same problems I started with. The refrigerator manufacturer was nice enough to send me free parts for an out of warranty fridge (3yrs old).
These hacks messed up what should have been a simple repair job and are turning it around on me like it's my fault. They are taking no responsibility and their flippant behavior is infuriating and unlike any I've seen in the business. I own other property and have dealt with many repair companies and ARC&USA are by far the worst. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (no surprise their grade is a D) and will not hesitate to take them to court to get my money back, even if it costs me 10x as much. It will be worth it to tell them they suck officially.
