Sears LG Fridge Icemaker/Freezer Problems - LG Fridge Model LMX25988ST/00

Our LG Fridge stopped making ice in early Jul and the freezer was not getting cold enough to keep ice cream, as we had extended warranty with Sears we called them, they showed up on July 20 said they had to replace the ice maker and that would fix everything. Since then they have been here at least 6 times, replacing the ice maker yet again and when that did not work they changed the mother-board, which did not work either. Now we are trying to exercise the portion of the extended warranty that says they will replace the unit if they cannot fix it after 3 tries, current feedback from the 1-800 folks is that they are ordering more parts and will come out when they are in, yet another day wasted waiting for them to show up "between 8 and 4". I am extremely frustrated with their lack of caring towards the customer, getting the platitudes from the customer service folks just pisses me off more as I know they really do not give a s_ t. Oh, try asking for a manager to call you back, they say they will return the call within 24 - 48 hours, it does not happen, it is hiding behind the magnanimity of the 1-800 number.

The guys that come out are nice enough but per my read they do not have a clue as to what is wrong with the thing.
