This company nationwide and their sales rep Santiago Serna came in to quote us on a pool. I originally called them to discuss Spa Repair and Service but mentioned we might be in the market for an new pool.

However, before we chose a company we wanted to see what the quality of service would be like. We did not know anything about maintaining a Spa, so we asked if he would service our unit for starters. He suggested switching over to a Salt Water System which we agreed sounded like the right thing to do.

Soon after they serviced the Spa, we found out about the bad reputation this company had through a local General Contractor as well as all the reports and complaints on the web. We quickly decided not to do any more business with them... And thank goodness we didn't.

After listening to the "used car salesman" pitch and dealing with his hard & fast closing tactics, I decided to research his claims. Not only were many of the things he told me incorrect or misleading, but some were downright false.

In addition, he would not provide a complete service. His attitude was to get a new pool installed within a few weeks and deal with the design later after we signed the contract and paid a hefty deposit. We have a nice property and the MOST important thing to us was the design of the pool area as a whole. This approach really turned me off. How can you buy something and pay money upfront before you know what you are getting?
In addition, I truly got that he would "walk away" after he was done leaving us to fend or ourselves. This was quickly proven out by the research I did with local contractors. They had one job site in a state of disaster and had people chasing them but they refused to accept any responsibility and refused to make right his wrongs.

I really felt like this guy and Nationwide Pools just wanted to push a down & dirty pool install on us without any consideration for quality, design.

Now, about the Spa service. The service was awful. Not only were his guys clueless providing us with WRONG information on how to maintain the Spa, which killed the water potentially damaging the Spa, but they also installed the Filter improperly. To top is all off, he charged us at three (3) times more than he said he would.

I paid them the bill.in which the sales rep Santiago insisted cash only for payment! They would not accept a check — which already sounded like a scam to me — I was hesitatnt about telling everyone this story but thought people should know what type of company this is! I even threatened them to post my experience on complaint and other websites to spread the word about the incompetence and lousy service of nationwide Pools offers as well as their bait and switch pricing tactics but they did not seem to care and have never contacted me again!

Do yourselves a favor "Avoid doing business with this company at all costs" You will be glad you did!
