Nationwide Pools - Misleading, Poor Customer Service (if any)- they are a joke of a company they are probably going out of business DO NOT TRUST

I signed a contract with Nationwide back late Aug. 2010. After signing the contract it started becoming very difficult getting anyone from Nationwide to call us back or return our e-mails. Aprox. 45 days after signing the contract we were contacted by our Sales rep. Santiago Serena and notified that our pool could not be constructed as stated in the contract due to street set backs. He sent an e-mail with the drawings of the pool size. We were shocked when we saw the pool went from 13'x30'. 6" to 13'x23' a pool size reduction of 33%! We asked if we would receive a price reduction due to the size reduction and we were told they could only knock $500.00 off the price. After doing our own research we stumbled upon Special Variances that the county does - if you pay $1500.00 and all your neighbors agree within 6 to 8 weeks if approved the setbacks would be smaller. My wife and i felt we had no other choice since we wanted our children to have a pool to swim in not an over-sized spa to splash in. We proceeded to ask for an addendum to the contract stating the project price would stay the same and that nationwide would wait 6-8weeks before starting the project. We never received said addendum. They then became IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. Finally one lucky day I was able to get a hold of Keith Stuart (the ceo). He seemed to be more concerned about us putting our fence and granting nationwide access to our neighbors yard than trying to hear our concerns. He didn't apologize and in the end threatened us with legal action if we tried to cancel our contract.
Nationwide promised us a pool of a certain size. We paid a $4,900.00 deposit. Now they don't call us back-they haven't refunded or money - they legally can't build the pool - Also beware - they advertise being rated an A business with the better business bureau when in fact they are NOT. They have over 33 complaints, do your homework other pool companies don't even come close to the customer dissatisfaction!
