Terri's thieves, liars and con artists

I just moved to AZ and had some items that I decided to consign with Terri's Consign & Design. I gave them my items on 5-5-09 and it sold on 5-7-09. It is now 8-26 and I have not been paid. The contract states that you will be paid after the last day of the next month after it was sold. This is not happening for me and now I know that many others have had the same experience with their consigned furniture.

Next, Terri's did not even tell me that it was sold. They didn't contact me in any way to let me know. There are two reasons why they do this and that because they want you to forget or lose your contract paper so you cannot prove that you gave them anything. Second, if it does not sell and you do not pick it up before the deadline it becomes their property.

They told me that the business was having financial trouble and that they would contact the corporate office. This was told to me 4 times now since July. Still no money. You cannot contact the "corporate office" and you cannot even leave a voicemail. (go figure)

This company operates in AZ and they need to be put out of business before they rip anyone else off.

Do NOT patron a Terri's and do NOT CONSIGN with them. You will not be paid.
Sell your goods at a yard sale or Craig's List because you will get your money then.

Off to small claims now.
