Jones Public Adjusters
Misleading co - robbing people of their money to fix there house

Construction & Repair

Well, let me start off with telling you that they only give you four days to cancel there contract...

I had an issue with my bathroom tub leaking into my living room. I was referred to Jones Public Adjuster. Someone from the company by the name of Brian called me to set up and appointment to come out and look at the damage. He came out one day that week, showed up in a suite and looked around as if he was really doing something. Came back down stairs and told me some lie about the insurance company trying to get over on his grandmother and that's what made him get into this business. He then had me sign papers, he said, that they were giving them the permission to represent me. After reading the papers in close details I seen that there representation was costing me 35% of the insurance settlement that's made to fix up my house and that I only had 4 days to cancel the contract.

Well, four days had come and gone and I did not hear anything from that company until after the fours day period. I had no time to see what kind of service they was providing nor there level of customer service. Next, I know on the fifth or six day some young lady called me, she set up an appointment for the owner Richard Jones to come out. He showed up on a Saturday, and again in a suite. Walked around took some measurements, that I could have done, and told me that some one would be in contact with me. Next, maybe a week later, the young lady called again and set up appt. For my insurance company to come out with Richard Jones. They came out one June 4th, once again Richard walked around doing nothing. The insurance man stated that he would get this settled in two weeks.

After June 4th, I did not hear from Richard Jones, until July 6.

I called a little after the two weeks from when they showed up to find out the status of my claim and and to have Richard call me back. The young lady took my message and Richard never called back. I called again the next week at this point they are not answering the phone nor are they calling me back. I called early one morning and the young lady took my message again said was going to place it on his deck. He never called. She then mention to me that it can take up to 30 days depending on the insurance company. I said okay no problem at this point this is my first time hearing the 30 day time frame.

Okay, I waited until the last week in June. Still no call from Richard to say I am working on this, apologize for the delay, or this is the status as of now. Nothing. I called left a message. Someone by the name of Lynette "office manager" called me back told me that my 30days was not up and pretty much had to wait.

July 6, rows around. I had to call back. Now mind you that their fee is 35%. Left a message and whattcha know Richard Jones called back. I asked him what was going on. That I have not heard anything, the bathroom is still leaking, what is the status of my claim its been longer then 30days now. This man told me he DID NOT KNOW! And he called the insurance company and the person handling my claim was on vacation. I began to get up sat. Because I was not paying him 35% for him not to know what the h@ll was going on. I guess he heard the disappointment in my voice and stated to me "IT'S NOT LIKE THIS IS NO MILLION DOLLAR CLAIM". At this point I was done with Richard Jones and is phony company.

I began to do my own leg work. I called the insurance company talked with the person supervisor. The head quarter in CA called me back apologize for the inconvenience and informed me that my claim number was CLOSED. Now why the h@ll didn't Richard Jones know this. Called Jones Public Adjuster and left a message. The "office manager" Lynette called me and had the nerve to ask me to call her back to tell her what the insurance company told me. (I still have this message) Now, if she was doing her job. She would have known that the claim was closed out or would have brought this to the man attention for him to handle before he went on vacation. Remember they are suppose to be working for me.

I finally get on the phone with Lynette the "office manager" for 38 minutes. The whole conversations she never once apologized for anything. She continued to completely point the finger at the insurance company. Stating that its there fault because he had no right closing the claim. But, if someone is paying you dam near half of their settlement she or Jones should have been on top of this and would have known this before it happened. (But I forgot this was not a million dollar claim) I continue to explain to her that I didn't want there services anymore. She tells me that is too late because Jones already came out and took measurements and work has already been done. WHAT WORK? Furthermore, we finished this conversation with she was going to give me a call the next business day. I received NO call.

Monday rows around, I hear nothing from them in the morning. I called the insurance company, talk to the lady from there head quarters again. She assured me that everything would get squared away today and that Danial Greene would call me. He called in less than an hour and broke down the claim to me. At four thirty that day the lady from the head quarter called me again to make sure that he called and that I was okay with everything. (Now, that's customers service)

Through out all the conversations that I had with my insurance company. They explained to me that I DID NOT need the "Jones co." to help me submit a claim. That within my policy I am already paying for an adjuster. They also explained to me that there price is their price. The only time its negotiable is when its denied. This was my first time experiencing something like this so I did not know that I didn't need them. When it was explained by the Jones Co. That I did. Nevertheless, I have to give this company 35% when the insurance company writes you out a check for the full amount of the damages theses damages does not included their 35%. So, now I am stock with a little more then half of what it takes to complete the repairs on my home. And I have to pay this company 355 for doing nothing. I am coming out of my pocket THREE times. One, I pay for the adjuster with my insurance coverage. Two, I paid 35% for Jones Public Adjuster for doing NOTHING and people I mean NOTHING. And, Three, I have to pay the difference to get the repairs completely done in my home. RIP-OFF

I was taken FULL advantage of because of my lack of knowledge of this process. Jones Public Adjuster are fully aware of peoples lack of knowledge of this process and that's why they are getting over on people. People please DO NOT let this happened to you.
