Pride Air Conditioning Deceptive & Fraudulent Practices. Do Not Honor Contract, Rude Personel

My 86 yr old mother has had a service contract with them for many years, since which covers all her appliances, including AC replacement. Every year before sommer they come out and recharge her AC unit. She called them this year for the same service. The tech that came out told her that the AC unit needs to be replaced - and can not be repaired. She contacted the office and spoke to a woman (Illiana) who told my mother that "replacement" doesn't really mean that. Read the back of the contract. The back of the contract states that no replacement unless specifically stated on the front of the contract - which it is! She (Illiana) also told my mother, that the AC unit is old and the part they need to repair it is no longer made so the unit needs to be replaced and quoted her a price for a new one. My mother again brought up the replacement clause in the contract and was told that "even thought they can not repair the unit, it is not condemned" and no replacement will be made. And if she can not afford a good unit, she can purchase a cheap one. When my mother told them that she will not buy anything from them - Illiana hung up the phone. I have tried to call her myself on behalf of my mother - and left a message with no reply so far.
If you even think about getting a service contract with them -DONT!
