Be very cautious when dealing with Leo Natale of One Call Handyman. This guy is a liar and has no integrity for his work. I recently hired him to renovate my 1,200 square foot apartment (new kitchen, bathroom, paint job, and flooring) in Brooklyn for approximately 40K.

I thought we had established a decent relationship with the amount of work I gave him, and he agreed to install a washer and dryer in my basement as part of total price. This was a material factor is my selection of Mr. Natale for the job. He finished the apartment with no major problems, but PC Richards had my washer and dryer on back order, which wouldn't be ready until 3 weeks after the rest of the project was completed.

Because the rest of the work was done to my satisfaction and it was PC Richards' fault the washer and dryer was not available, I did not want to penalize Mr. Natale so I paid him in full for the project. I would have never imagined that after all the money he had received, it would be a problem for him to come back for a half-a-day for a trivial washer and dryer installation as agreed upon. After PC Richards delivered the machines, I called Mr. Natale to finish the work.

To my shock, he made excuse after excuse why he could not come at first, and then ignored my calls all together. Now I have to hire another contactor which could cost between $500 and 1K, a sizable amount of cash but less than the expense of bringing any legal action against Mr. Natale (so I'll have to eat the expenditures). These actions reveal a lot about Mr. Natale's character, so I wanted to post this warning to anyone that is considering hiring this man. Hopefully this helps save someone else the aggravation I had to go through, and assists people in determining whether Mr. Natale is the right contractor for a project.
