The Real Estate Company - Greenleaf, LLC
Renting homes already in foreclosure

Construction & Repair

Recently moved to Republic, Mo from KC, KS wanting to lease a home for 1-2 years while we develop some farm land we bought in SW Missouri. Leased a home marketed by The Real Estate Company and leased to us through Greenleaf (which is appears to be the same company). Within a few weeks of moving in we discovered by chance the house might be in foreclosure. Then a week of being given the runaround from Greenleaf and The Real Estate Company trying to find out status I finally got them to admitt the circumstances. The house not only is in foreclosure but I found out today (11/18/08) that is will be foreclosed on 11/25/08one week. We have only been in the home for 33 days so it seems impossible they weren't aware they rented us a house in foreclosure.

Beware of this company. We have heard many stories of people with similar circumstances renting and even worse from those unfortunate enough to purchase from them. We're out significant dollars not to mention having to move a fully furnished 4 bedroom house with kids, dog etc twice in such a short time.

Very upset not sure what we'll do now.
