Purchased defective appliance and waiting weeks for replacement with no responses on why or when to expect it

My husband purchased at best buy online a window unit with heat and air only a few months ago and it melted the cover. We paid over 800.00 for something defective. I spoke with the manufacturer and best buy and continue to get the run around. No one can tell us where the replacement is or when to expect it. We are cold in our home with temperatures in the 30's and need this replaced. The manufacturer tells us we need to talk to best buy and they tell us to call the manufacturer back. No one can answer our questions. When you ask for a district manager of corporate number to complain you get the run around on that too. I am really upset. We should be compensated in some way for all our trouble.
