Offered an investment reguarding real estate in Austin, Texas promising a high percentage return within a 30 to 60 day period

This person and or Company was offering contracts stating that they owned the deeds to properties in Austin, Texas that was being developed for High end Residentional. The property was being developed by a "Budilder" named Eric. No last name given. The investments were supose to be offered by the "Builder", through Lisa A. Mahoney. Her job was to get private investors to invest into the projects. It was said that builders and developers in Texas like to get private investors to avoid bank hassles. All the contracts given to the investors are very investor friendly stating that within a certain time frame anywhere between 30-90 days, we would receive a generous percentage back on top of our initial investment. Percentages ranged from 20%-50%, depending on the "Project". Lisa A. Mahoney would also offer incentives to anyone that brought anyone new to the investment. Such incentives as money up front, or a percentage on the back end, once the money was funded back to the investors. Contracts also stated that if the money was not received after a certain time period, she had the deeds and could pull them and get all initial investments back.in the beginning it seemed that it was all legit and people were making money, but Lisa A. Mahoney would always have another project or better investment waiting, convincing most of the investors to re-invest or roll over their initial and even sometimes their initial and percentages earned. Soon after a long delay in people receiving their monies when promised it would be due, and long after the grace period of the contracts expired. Lisa A. Mahoney would come up with one excuse after another, as to where the funds were, and she would even go to the extreme as to write bad checks to people to get them off her back. Basically to buy her more time. After numerous people began to question, the bubble burst and Lisa A. Mahoney stopped returning phone calls, answering e mails, and basically said her Attorney would be handling it all. Come to find out the so called attorney who ended up getting flooded with phone calls, was never retained and did not represent her on this matter at all. Lisa A. Mahoney has vanished and has not been seen for a few weeks, though it is believed she is still living in the Simi Valley area. As of now October 28, approximately 70 people have come out of the wood work searching for answers and Lisa A. Mahoney. As of now with all the 70 people accounted for, there is an approximate total of 6 Million dollars of inital investment monies owed. Many of these people have lost their life savings, homes, families, friends, spouses, and credibility because they put their trust into Lisa A. Mahoney.
