R J R Contracting Victims of May tornado we paid in full up front and never received new roof! They have $6000 and we have a leaky roof

On May 2, at 3:30 A.M.in the morning, our home was damaged in an F3 tornado in Kansas City, MO. We are fortunate to have escaped with our lives and no injuries. However, our home was not as lucky. Our roof was damaged and began leaking immediately.

On May 21 we hired R.J.R. Contracting, LLC (owners: Robert Zago, Ryan Keen and Lance Hoover) to repair our roof. No work was performed on our roof. On August 14, we gave R.J.R. Contracting, LLC a check in the amount of $6000 to repair our roof. We left several messages for Robert Zago and Ryan Keen with R.J.R. Contracting to no avail. Ryan returned our call several days later and assured us they would begin working on our roof. The very next day he called to say he was 'coming up short and needed more money.'

On August 22, after several, frustrating, angry calls and two 'no show' meetings by them them, we asked Ryan Keen and Robert Zago to return our money. They again assured us they could perform the work and would have it complete by September 22.

On August 25, we were advised R.J.R. Contracting, LLC had submitted another estimate to our insurance company in the amount of $27,207.27 without our knowledge. The very next day, materials which were delivered in our driveway two days before were now gone.

On August 27, we again asked R.J.R. Contracting, LLC to please return our money. Ryan Keen and Robert Zago again became angry and accusatory and refused to return our money.

As of this date, our roof is still damaged, leaks when rains; materials no longer in our driveway; and our money still not returned.
