Refuse to honor lifetime warranty on teak bath bench 12350kdr-2

Company is refusing to honor lifetime warranty on teak bath bench, which is coming apart at the joints, plus has finish that is failing. This is an item that is kept and used in the shower, and the teak is supposed to hold up to the moisture.

They are saying that I have not maintened the bench, which is ridiculous as the product brochure contains no care instructions and the item is designed to get wet.

I purchased item from a reliable ebay seller and they will not work with him, either.in fact, ebay retailer says company is so hard to deal with, that he no longer carries their products.

I have only had the item 18 months and it has not been abused. The company says that their warranty does not cover "wearable items", but there is nothing in the product pamphlet that says that. It only mentions: "The warranty does not extend to non-durable components, such as rubber accessories, casters, and grips, which are subject to normal wear and need periodic replacement."

There is no mention that wood is NOT covered; therefore they should replace the expensive teak seat. I have conducted an extensive email correspondence with the company for the past month and they are refusing to honor their warranty, despite the fact that I can claim that I am correct each time I quote the information in the product pamphlet.
