Disappeared without a trace with my money and furniture on layaway... No call, no lette

I put a table and chairs on layaway and made payments of a total around $600 or more. Next thing I know the store was gone. No sign saying they were moving. No letter or calls to notify of the store closing or moving. The local phone number no longer works and the store no longer exists in the Salt Lake area. Their website is also conveniently down for maintenance. What is going on???
