Ripoff swindle

In July of 1998, I sold my home to Dorwin Teeters here in Piqua. I was going to buy a half-double from him in the Indian Ridge area in Piqua. I made over a six thousand dollar profit from my home which was Washington Ave.

I agreed to apply the profit from my home on Washington to the half-double which was 3136 Sioux Drive. At the time I made the agreement, I assumed that Mr. Teeters would give me my profit from Washington Ave. So I could put it in the bank to draw interest. I was going to rent the half double from Teeters for one year and then get a loan.

At the time, I has an on again off again engagement to someone. I was worried that I may not be able to get the loan at the end of the year. I asked Teeters what if I couldn't get the loan. He told me, don't worry, I will give you your money back. It ended up that Teeters kept my $6,000.00 and then made me move out in Feb. Of 1999 because my boyfriend and I broke the engagement and I couldn't meke the rent payments.

I pleaded with Teeters to just keep the $6.000.00 amd apply it for the next several months rent. He refused to do it, claiming that he needed the money to pay the bank each month. He promised that he would give me my money back as soon as he sold the half-double or the house on Washington Ave.

I still have not received the money. I've heard that this has happened to other people who have attempted to make deals with him.
