My wife and I purchased a house in May.in the closing we were offered a home warranty package. We took it because the sellers was paying for the warranty for the first year and we would only have to pay if we would renew. Well, we won't renew that policy. About a month (May 20) into the new house the air conditioning decided to stop giving us cold air.in Texas, that is not a good thing seeing as how some days it is 110F with the heat index.

So we call First American and they can have someone out to look at it in about 4 days. Sweating, we call back to get another contractor sooner. We get one out the next day and he does his stuff, tells us we "have" to replace our whole a/c unit because of the new codes and what not. We talk to First American again and they say that he is too high, so now we are back to where we started and waiting for the first contractors. First American says "go buy a window a/c unit, we will reimburse you". We do, send in the receipt with in a couple of day, lo and behold they never receive it. The a/c contractors finally come, assess the problem, we need a new coil (Also we are having a house warming party that following weekend! No fun without a/c). We pay them to put some freon in the unit and it works! But for how long?

So now it is June 17 and we still haven't gotten our a/c fixed. Our Claim Analyst said she ordered the part, never did. The actual contractors know more of whats going on then our Analyst. Now our garage door is messed up, I think I will try to fix that myself.
