Steve Witacki, Johnathan Voight Tree Removal Ripoff

We needed to have some broken tree limbs resulting from the Tulsa ice storm in December removed from our trees and yard. Additionally, we needed to have a dead Birch tree also removed. We had received a flyer from SG's Tree Service earlier in the spring and contacted them to receive an estimate. The owner, Steve, contacted me and came by our home to view the property. He called and gave me two different estimates. One included his company doing all the tree work as well as removing all the debris at that time and the other was for his company to do the tree work, but have a business associate of his remove the debris after they were done. The estimate for Steve and his company to do all the tree and debris work was quite higher, so we went with the second estimate (this was actually the arrangement Steve recommended since he said it "Made no sense for us to pay the higher price for his company to do the debris removal) The cost for tree work and the debris removal by his associate was $1,100.00 total. At this time, I questioned Steve about his associate and he reassured me this individual and he had worked together many times before and had a prearranged agreement for debris removal services and there would be no problem. We set a date for Steve to complete the first part of the work. He and his crew did not arrive. He later called me and we set another date. Again, he and his crew did not arrive nor call. They did arrive (unscheduled) early on Sunday, May 4th. They completed the work on the same day and left all the tree debris on our curb so that his associate could come by and remove it per our financial agreement. I even asked Steve point blank about the removal as I handed him the check for the services. He again stated his associate would be contacting me immediately on my cell number as Steve had provided him with that information in order to schedule a time for the debris removal. Several days went by and we received no contact from the associate. I left Steve several messages and finally got ahold of him by phone. I then discovered the phone number Steve had written down on my invoice for the associate was incorrect and it was actually Steve's own number. He apologized and gave me another phone number which he said belonged to the associate (Johnathan Voight). I attempted to call Mr. Voight, but always immediately got his voice mail. I left several messages for Mr. Voight as well as contacting Steve again to let him know his associate had not followed through with the business agreement and our tree debris was still on the curb. I finally heard from Mr. Voight on Friday, May 9th in the early morning. He stated his "grappler truck" had been having some problems, but he would be by that morning to remove all the debris. He never showed, nor has he made any attempt to contact us. I have continued to leave messages on both Steve and Mr. Voight voice messages and neither has responded.
