Ortho "Weed B Gon Max" killed my St. Augustine grass

Ortho's TV commercial emphasizes the fact that it only kills weeds and not your grass. It show nice green grass without any brown spots after the weeds die. Their competitor's side has dead brown spots were their weeds were killed.

In their instrutions under IMPORTANT, it states that it may temporary brown St. Augustine. Do not use on Floratam St. Augustine. I have St. Augustine but never heard of what variety.

The product killed my grass where I sprayed it on the weeds.

The TV commercial does not state this posibility and their after spray view of the grass is very misleading. They should openly warn about using Weed B gon on any St. Augustine grass
