Roof's not for Snow

To start this off I need to qualify that I live in Northern Michigan where we get snow. Here is our main issue with the house, we have several but this being the most prevalent. The roof ventilation is poor and inadequate. We receive snow here in northern Michigan and due to the poor ventilation the roof does not expel the heated air and melts the snow. The melted snow/water reaches the eaves and forms an ice damn which then backs up water and leaks into the house. This ruins insulation, drywall, carpeting, dry rots the wood, ruins furnishings in the area where it leaks.

I will continue this story in the next post. You will be shocked what we were told by the company/manufacturer along with how little the State of Michigan really is. Simply said the bureaucrats are ruled by special interest money and are not there for the little man.
