I purchased a water softner and air purifier in the Spring of 2007 after I was told that my water was unhealthy for my children to be drinking. I was told that we would notice an incredible difference in cleaning, skin etc. We were told my daughter would experience less tangles in her hair and it would definitely improve my excema. We were also told that it would decrease our water bills tremendously. With a family of 6 I thought anything would be great. They told me that payments would be around $150 per month. Well 7 months into it my water bill has increased almost doubled. The cleaning supplies that they said work wonderfully, do not work. My local grocery store sells cheaper items that work way better. Our skin is drier then ever, my excema was so bad it required a steroid injection that I now have to have every 4 months. What topped it was my furnace stopped heating after a snowstorm of 5 inches. When I came home it was 55 degrees in my house. I called our home warranty and no one could come out until the next day. When the repairman got there he indicated that the filter used destroyed my high limit switch. He informed me that these filters are worthless and he would NEVER recommend these in my furnace. Secondly, he told me that there is a UV light bulb inside the furnace for the purifier, which I was not told when the purifier was installed, these UV bulbs have been known to blind serviceman if they are not made aware of them and they are not effective for purification and the price is outrageous to replace them. He also told me that they don't sell water purification systems and they should stay out of the furnaces. When I called and discussed this with the RainSoft dealership I was told that it was my fault for not cleaning the filter efficiently enough and they had never heard of this happening to anyone.

I should've known better when the post office recieved my credit application on the floor of a local mall here in town. That incident got me 3 free bags of salt. I want to return it with my money back but they refuse to take it back. I told the creditor that I wanted it returned and refused to pay anymore for it. They told me then I would be in default and it would go on my credit report. What are myu rights?
