CCL was so obnoxious I thought I was on a hidden camera show.

Note, they did not rip me off they were just rude, had terrrible customer service, wasted alot of my time and were near impossible to work with and that is with me following their every instruction to a "T" and not having any special needs (no returns or mis-shipments). If they were that hard to deal with for a "smooth" order, I can only imagine what I would have gone through if there was a problem.

Placed a $4000 order online—they called and required the fax confirmation which I did (I had to drive to a fax machine). They call the next day after I faxed it back and say they made a mistake, my order is too big and I need to wire transfer it. I agree to that. They say they sent a new fax. I wait 2 hours, drive but no fax there. I call and they say fax will come, I wait no fax. Long styorey short, I end up wiring the money. All along they were very rude, but I got my order two weeks after wiring the money.

Two weeks after getting the shipment, I place a small $200 order (I only bought from them again because I needed to match the other fixtures) and go through the exact same BS of fax authorization, called next day and told need a wire transfer the order (even though it was only a $200 order this time. I ask why I would have a harsher payment policy than their already overly strict set of policies, especially as a returning customer. With a very rude tone Billy tell me that since I paid via wire I am now locked in the system as a wire customer for 6 months and that is final.

Baically the mantra of CCL is you and all customers are bothering them. They want you to jump through hoops and follow every detail to a "T" but they will f-up all they like and you can go to hell. If you are a returning customer they will treat you even worse as if to say "DIDN'T YOU GET THE POINT!!! We don't want your business! LEAVE US ALONE!" (with the all caps I am mimicking their overuse of all cap warnings).

They were so rude for no apparent reason, I found it funny/intriguing in a bizarre sort of way. I couldn't help but tell people I knew about this bizarre company that gets so many customers it tries to make it so hard to order and then hangs up on you if you do order.

All I can say, is they are incredibly rude and short to please who comply with every detail, so I can only imagine how they treat an order with a problem. Secondly, the attitude comes for no apparent reason even when you rewad every detail of their website, follow all the instructions and are polite to them.

Lastly, more people need to get into this business and become their competitors because they obviously get customers too easily to be able to be in business while having such a clear distain for all their customers. They literally try and make it so hard to order and treat you so poorly when you do, I was scratching my head and telling my bank branch manager, "why am I jumping through hoops to give my money to this bizarre, rude company." (answer— I shouldn't have).

My recomendation—you are asking for trouble if your order from CCL. Do a search on tapped transformers for landscape lighting and you will find many other options.

CCL, you win the prize for turning off customers for no apparent reason other than you have become accustomed to pissing everyone off.By the way. Got to love how at the end of all their "non-trusting policy statements, ALL CAPS AND UNDERLINED WARNINGS telling you not to call them, don't check on an order, and basic go to hell warnings, followed by blatenly rude behavior, they through in "GOD BLESS YOU" at the end of their order form— how ironic.
