Sedona timeshare scam - consumer fraud - unenthical crooked company

Highly unethical company! I purchased a bi-annual timeshare and used it for the first time over the holidays. I was extremely disappointed in the condition of the hotel in general and my room in particular. Not only was it dirty with food crumbs and crap everywhere, but it was also infested with cockroaches. When I complained about the appearance, the manager responded with some wisecrack about the rooms are only cleaned weekly for owners. Well Fine, clean it once but clean it right! Also, the room I stayed in looked nothing like the room I was promised on the tour. The furniture was at least 20 years old, and in very poor condition. Drawers were broken, the shower leaked and the heater sounded like a diesel engine. The hotel itself has peeling paint, dead plants, grounds are not being kept up, and has the appearance of overall shoddyness. It is definitely a third class property when you look at what the other hotels are doing.

I want to know exactly what they are doing with the millions they are collecting in HOA dues, pocketing them? I became so frustrated that I called Joe Martori to get something done, but after leaving repeated messages, no return call was ever received.By the end of my week, I was so frustrated, I attempted to cancel my contract, but it appears that they won't give me my money back. It came down to trying to warn new prospects before they entered the sales office. If anyone out there is as pissed off at ILX as I am, post your stories here. I will be talking with my attorneys, and if we can start a class action lawsuit for misrepresenting their service, we will hold much more leverage over this highly unethical company. I will continue to post my experiences over the coming weeks and other customers should do the same. See you in court JOE!
