Sold defective equipment and will not fix under warranty

I purchased a Husqvarna Aerator over the internet from a Husqvarna retailer in TN. The unit was a demo model and I was told that it was covered under the full factory warranty. I never used the aerator and it had no gas in it when it was delivered. I attempted to start the aerator but it would not crank. I took it to a service retailer and they told me that it needed a new carb. This unit was a brand new demo unit. I told them that i never used it. The service retailer told me that it had sat outside and had bad gas that had ran through it at one time. Either cases would cause the carburetor to go bad. They stated that was not covered under the warranty and would cost me $160 even though I paid $2500 for it and never even ran the unit. I pleaded my case with Husqvarna. They responded with a survey on how they handled my case even though they never handled the case. They finally contacted me and stated I was out of luck. I will never purchase husqvarna products again.
