Repairman swindled me ripoff swindlers

I got the number for this carpenter from the A & P bulletin board.

Because of his manner, I trusted him and gave him $300 for materials. He rescheduled repair work due to the materials not being shipped, his mother got sick, etc.

Now he is not returing my phone calls at all. Foolishly, I did not get his last name or street address or licence.

I just have a cel phone and post box (from the receipt - probably false). I need to set up a "sting"- have someone else call him to their house where I can confront him.

He is a very obese man, more than 400 pounds, and I had doubts that he was even capable of doing the work.

He damaged a chair when he sat in it. I hope someone from the NYC area media responds so we can catch this guy

I notice that all of the contact cards on his advertisement had been taked by other people.
