C & J handyman service
Got paid for a job they didn't even start, now they won't return calls

We contact C&J about repairs that needed to be done on my house, we agreed on a price and was told to send a check to cover materials and commencement of repairs. A couple of days later they were a no show after a couple more phone calls and promises they would start the repairs. We waited and still nothing,
We have tried to get in touch with them and they refuse to answer any phone, text, or emails.
We have no other action but to let everyone know what's going on and proceed with the next step. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
