Contractors Choice Lighting, ccl-light.com Incomplete shipment and customer service is willing to lie and hang up on you to get you off the phone

I have spent since last October trying to get my order from Contractors Choice Lighting (www.ccl-light.com).

I was searching for yard lights on the internet and found their site. They seemed to have low prices and a wide selection, so I bought from them.

When my order did finally arrive, it was missing parts necessary to installation (and particular to my fixtures), so I could not and have not been able to use it. Plus, it was missing another item altogether. The missing item was noted on the packing receipt (which I still have), and there was a promise scribbled on it saying the missing item would be to me in a week.

I finally emailed them a month later, after still not receiving anything. I got an email back with a phone number and a name. After ridiculous hold times I finally reached Juan who seemed very accomodating and told me everything I wanted to hear, (we're sorry, the item was out of stock, I am personally sending the stuff to you now, etc.)

A month later, and still nothing from them. I called again, this time I am a bit ornery, and Juan makes the same promises as before. All I can do is believe him, so I go back to waiting for an imaginary package to arrive.

Okay, my post is getting dull. Just imagine the same story as above once a month for the past few months. It is May now, I just spoke with them yesterday. I think they know who I am now. They had no problem hanging up on me three separate times. I was on hold with them for over an hour. When I did speak to Juan, before he hung up on me, he promised (yet again) to personally UPS the items to me immediately.

Here is the thing, I read the other reports on the site.ccL is dishonest by design. They have a lot of customers, and if they lose 10% daily they are probably still doing fine. I am one guy with a limited budget fixing up his own home, so what do they care? More guys like me will come along and not take the time to visit this site, and will likely make the same mistake.

I am simply aggravated. They stole from me and don't seem to care. My recourse (for now) is to warn anyone and everyone to stay away from this crooked unrighteous institution.

Next time, it is worth the extra few bucks to deal with a brick and mortar store.ccL relies on the perceived anonymity of the internet to protect its duplicity - hopefully sites like this one make it more difficult for them.
