And Charles Mensah Do not hire this contractor in Maryland becasue Financial troubles: Maryland Habitat Ripoff

I don't want anyone to go through what I did. A contract was signed October 9 with Maryland Habitat. Since then, the owner, Charles Mensah had only completed the excavation. Secondly, a subcontractor is trying to put a mechanical lien on my house because he wasn't paid by Mr. Mensah. This company is have financial problems. According to the MHIC, he has about 9 complaints. Right now, I want all of my money back (which is stated in the contract, a customer can ask for a refund if unhappy) and trying to pursue legal actions againt them since his wife is an agent on the company. Charles Mensah doesn't want to complete the contract or give me money back but being as though his wife is a lawyer, they should know there is a breach of contract here as well as fraud since he admitted he used draws from others to help pay for other contracts. Basically, he is stealing from Peter to pay Paul. Also, MHIC put an emergency suspension on his license. The phone number at the business is turned off but I have an alternate number to reach him. I have all this dirt in my yard and a big hole that been sitting since January. I filed this report for two reasons: don't want others to deal with what I have to deal with and maybe get in contact with some of the others who are having problems with this contractor.
