Full Deck Design makes misleading promises. Poor and unprofessional customer service. Ripoff

Full Deck Design made promises before contract and then went back on them. On several occasions, we have been spoken to harshly and very unprofessionally and we do not trust them.

We contracted with Full Deck Design to build a covered porch on our home. We met with a representative of Full Deck Design to sign the contract and gave him a deposit check.

As they advertised on their website, we were told that Full Deck Design would be completing the entire application process with the community association, whom they have had dealings with previously. We were also told that we would be given the opportunity to review the proposed drawing of the porch prior to submittal and if we were not satisfied with the drawing, the deposit check would be torn up and our contract agreement could be terminated if we desired.

Contrary to these expectations, our deposit check was immediately endorsed and cashed by Full Deck Design and the application to the community association was made before we had the opportunity to review the drawing. We also learned that a representative of Full Deck Design who submitted the application forged my signature on the document. The drawing of the porch has never been an accurate representation of what we asked for.

Full Deck Design also refused to pay the community association application fee and their GM took a hostile tone when we said we felt they should be responsible for it as part of what they said to be the "entire application process". He raised his voice, said it was not his problem.

Displeased with his attitude, we decided that we were no longer interested in a business relationship and requested our deposit refunded. He harshly responded saying our deposit was now non-refundable and that if we did want them to build the porch, to pay the fee and call them back. Before we had an opportunity to respond he hung up the phone.

We reported Full Deck Design to the BBB and they responded saying that were required to keep the deposit as a 10% cancellation fee. We responded back summarizing the points above and after 30 days of no response from Full Deck Design, the case was dropped. If I had read the report I am currently writing when we decided we wanted to build a porch, I would have never even called Full Deck Design.
