We bought a couch and scheduled delivery. The couch was the same size as our previous one. The delivery guy wanted us to sign a waiver that if he damaged it when he brought it into the house that Living Spaces was not responsible.

We obviously refused to sign it because of course if they tear it bringing it in, they should be held responsible, right?

So, the delivery guy said it would be returned and that they could hold it for us for 2 weeks and we could pick it up.

He tried calling customer service to set it up and no one answered for 10 minutes.in fact, he never got through. He had to call his supervisor to set it up. We called customer service and they said they would call us back about the couch.

2 days went by with no phone call. When we called, they said that we had been charged 10% (60 bucks) for returning the item. We had already paid $75 for the delivery, and now they wanted an extra 10% because their people could not get the couch in without a waiver signed!

The customer service person was extremely rude and insisted that this was a returned item, when in fact it was just to be held. No one ever said it would cost 10% for not signing that waiver!

She refused to give us a managers name, saying the store did not have a manager (what business does not have a manager...).

They do not care one bit about customer service and obviously do not care about return business.

Please save yourself the money and aggravation and go to a different store where customer service actually matters.
