Incorrect reporting for repairs on wall oven to Home Warranty company ripoff

Two Techs came out to see about repairing our wall oven due to the fact sparks came out of top of oven.

One Tech decided the problem was due to broken latch and our home inspector should have caught the problem during inspection. Tech wrote the latch had been forced and as a result it broke.

Tech wrote ovens had not been inspected. This is in error, because the ovens had been inspected and were working properly. Home Warranty company turned turned down claim for repairs because the report was submitted with incorrect information.

After denial of our repair claim, two licensed journeyman electricians verified the oven door latch could not have caused the electrical oven to spark. They also verified the latch does lock the oven door.

Choice Appliances was notified about the incorrect reporting about the ovens not being included in Home Inspection and Choice Appliances said they would correct the error before sending in the report to the Home Warranty company, which they did not do.

We asked for a copy of the report furnished to the Home Warranty company and was told they cannot and will not furnish us a copy of the report.

Not only are we out of the $60 paid to Choice Appliances but we don't even know if the bottom oven is safe to use since the upper oven shot sparks out of the top. Choice Appliances claim there is nothing they can do about the incorrect report since my husband signed the service form, which he only signed because the Chief Tech was so convincing about the broken latch, which is not broken, was the problem. He also had told the Techs that he didn't know if the self-cleaning option on the upper oven had been inspected but that the two ovens had been inspected. The Tech then decided to just say the ovens had not been inspected.

The person at Choice Appliances was very rude in handling the whole process of getting the service report corrected and resubmitted to the Home Warranty company. Their opinion is that my husband should not have siged the service report and as far as the errors on the form they could not and will not correct the report.
