Plumber charged $165 to snake one toilet, item not covered

Construction & Repair

I called AHS about two clogged toilets and they sent out a plumber today. He snaked the one toilet and found that one of those small plastic ant traps was inside (small kids). He was so happy he couldn't wait to tell my home warranty company (AHS) because he knew this would not be covered. He then advised me that it would be $99 per toilet and $75 per hour for service. I had to give him $165 for snaking one toilet because he had me by the balls at that point. If you get a home warranty from AHS you're going to get screwed at some point because these contractors just wait for the home warranty company to refuse to cover certain items.
