Courteous? I don't think so! Ripoff

About 3 or 4 weeks ago, my upstairs neighbor moved out. Well, the apartment complex decided to completely remodel the apartment above me, with me still living underneath. So for weeks now, all I hear is banging, and sawing, and hammering, and guys yelling at each other anywhere from 7:00AM until 11:00 PM, which I called the police for.

I have contacted the front office at least three times and their basic response is "Oh well." I pay $669 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment and all they can say is "Oh well." It has been so bad that people on the phone can hear all the noise and I've had pictures fall off the wall from their banging. I've been getting no sleep, so I'm moving out this week.

I still have three months left before my lease is up, but the front office will not let me out of it, even though it's their mistake. Does anybody know anything else I can do about all this noise?
