Sloppy fence installation, repeated no-shows and unanswered calls

We had a fence installed through Home Depot, which subcontracted The Fence Co. Two non-English-speaking men put it up in 8 hours, not even stopping to pee, and as a result it is very sloppy.

There are sharp edges of nails freely hanging, a post literally nailed to our house, unlevel gates, very bad cuts of wood, a 2 by 4 where a post should be, and no concrete where it should be. It looks worse than a home job!

Three weeks have gone by. There have been 3 no-call no-shows. I have called repeatedly, written 2 letters to corporate and the S. Grener store, and reported it to the 1-800 number.

All they tell me is that someone will call me within 7 more days. Ironically, the number for The Fence Co now just rings with no answer, and all of a sudden there is no voicemail.

I want everyone to know: do not trust Home Depot. Just because a company is well known does not make it safe.
