Delivery of damaged refrigerator Ripoff

Visited store and purchased a refrigerator. Delivery was set for 3 weeks out. Delivery day passes and no communication from hhgregg. Upon my attempt to contact someone at hhgregg, many employees later i am told that my order was a "special order" and would not be delivered for 4-6 weeks.

4-6 weeks pass. No communication from hhgregg. I called them and many employees later am told that they have no status of my refrigerator and it may take 4-6 more weeks. I requested to cancel my order. Hhgregg tells me you cannot cancel a "special order". I complain that i was never told i ever placed a special order in the first place and i want to cancel. The "operations manager" assures me delivery within 2 weeks. He said they will call me and set up a delivery time.

10 days later. 3 messages on my answering machine while i'm at work. 1st message - 8:11am from hhgregg delivery man saying he would be at my house in 20-30 minutes. 2nd message - 8:36am from hhgregg delivery manager saying hhgregg would delivery on that day from 8-11am. 3rd message - 8:50am - hhgregg delivery man in my driveway waiting on me! Missed delivery. Called hhgregg and setup delivery for 2 days later.

2 days later. Delviery made. Back of refrigerator looks dented. Delivery guys says no problem.installs refrigerator. Water line is dripping. Delivery guys try purging and say there is something wrong with the water line. They call their boss and try draining more water out of refrigerator. They tell us it is ok that we just need to draing 4-5 more gallons and then "no drip". We drain 4-5 more gallons and still get drip. Call hhgregg. Hhgregg sends out a "repair" crew on the next day. The 2 guys look at refrigerator, try to draw water and watch it drip. They say "broke", "no fix".

I call hhgregg. They tell me to drain 4-6 more gallons and if still dripping to call the GE service - they service LG products in us? Call GE - wait on phone for 45 minutes. GE has no record of our purchase. Hhgregg had not completed paperwork for warranty service. GE advises me to insist that hhgregg replace our damaged refrigerator with a new one.

Call hhgregg many times. Manager tries to setup a new "service" call and says we had that opportunity with GE? We continued to remind him that GE would not service our refrigerator since hhgregg had not completed paperwork and forwarded to GE? We get nowhere. We request his boss's name and phone number only to be told that he does not have a direct number? Isn't that interesting and quite convenient? We call the 1-800 number and are told to call the manufacturer! We are at our limit now!

Hhgregg then sets up a repair call for us without telling us what time or answering our voice message!

We think we have a right to insist on a replacement refrigerator, don't we? How far do we have to go with this mess? Hhgregg seems very disorganized and very sneaky. I will never do business with them again and will tell all friends about my experience.
