I originally ordered two trees from this company. They were shipped USPS and were not delivered on time (I should write a separate one on the USPS) — resulting in dehydrated and "burned-up" trees. I contacted the company and they said to see what happened in the Spring.
Spring came, one put out leaves and one was dead. I contacted the company about a replacement their 1 year) guarantee and was told they were out of that variety. They suggested I select one from the "hundreds of trees" they sell — I selected another variety and they didn't have those either. So, I then selected and sent them a list of 3 more varieties — they didn't have those either.
At that point, they sent me a bitchy e-mail and said I had to pick something they actually had. I asked them why I should pay for a variety I didn't want or even like, and I asked for a refund. They said that was their guarantee — they did not refund. I expressed my views on their guarantee and their customer service, told them to send me a larger size of any of the varieties I wanted (I would pay extra) and that I would be sure to never do business with them again. They sent me a very rude e-mail in response, refunded my money (after screwing up the credit card transaction), and I ended up blocking their e-mail from my mail system.
It's sad — I'm an avid gardener and really liked the selection on their web site — too bad the product and customer service are so bad. I definitely recommend NOT ordering from these people.
