Hi everyone, recently I was told about this site and searched through it to see someone had written a report on Colders Furniture. I had the same problem as the other previous employee who wrote on here. I worked for Colders about 3 years ago at the Oak Creek location and trained at the West Allis one. When I first started there the sales managers were very nice and helpful.

After about 3 months that changed. I was coached to lie to customers to get them to buy merchandise. I was not trained that way. I guess I was told that since my sales numbers were a little low that month. Still, that does not mean go out and lie a little. 2 of the 3 managers treated the employees horribly. Often they made rude comments to the employees and customers behind their backs and too their faces. Maybe the one Tim worked at was nicer. His loctaion was West Allis, I was Oak Creek.

The big problem with Colders was Bob Garbut. He was just a rude guy all around. He was just loud and obnoxious. He often too would put down the employees right in front of other employees and customers. I was always taught if you needed to correct an employee do it privately. He never did. Noone wanted to be around him. As soon as anyone saw him they ran the oppisite way afraid he was going to saying something degrading to them about their sales, appearance or yellow cards. I personally would not recommend anyone working for them. I was there about a year and could not handle the horrible company.

I went to a competitor and made an honset living. I have known alot of poeple who have left for the same reasons and I am still friends with a few who still work there because they are having problems with getting a new job. I am also friends with the good manager who still works there. He is the only readon I didn't want to leave. I guess it comes sown to saying... Don't work for Colders... Go across town to one of the compettiors... Don't get me started on them. LOL!
