Dryeraseboard.com's Magic Dryerase Paint
Sucks

Construction & Repair

Dryeraseboard.com sells this "new" product that claims to turn an ordinary wall into a dryeraseboard. We bought some and tried it.

I have many years experience as a painter. When I received the paint, the only documentation was on the can itself and it basically only tells you to mix the two cans together, paint one coat, wait 24 hours, paint another and then wait 72 hours before trying.

When I opened the first can, you cannot imagine the smell. It is an instant headache, VERY toxic. I had a headache for 24 hours after using it even wearing a face mask.

Then I followed the directions and mixed the two cans. I painted the first coat. When I finished with that coat, I closed the can until I could paint the next. When I went back, the can exploded in my face. No where on the can did it say do not reuse.

After painting both coats, bottom line is the paint DOES NOT WORK. Its a scam. When I called to complain it took three days for me to get a return phone call. When I told the guy his paint "sucks", he warned me he wouldn't stand for that kind of language and I said, "Well, what do you want me to tell you, it works? The paint sucks." He hung up on me and no one at Dryeraseboard.com would return my calls.

Now I have a destroyed conference room wall.
