Service Ripoff! Personnel safety issues

This is submitted because of a potential safety issue with service personnel. A service person was dispatched to my home for garage door service. I encountered a highly aggressive, erratic and anxiety ridden individual who was driven to push repairs.

Explanations of the problems I had encountered were ignored. This person focused on everything but the problems at hand. I tried three times to communicate with the service person to no avail. Due to the level of aggression he was asked to leave the property to avoid his confrontational behavior.

I have reluctantly submitted this report because of a stellar past history of service from this company. However, on this occasion the owner insisted that the service persons' version of "reality" was accurate and that I was incorrect in my assessment.

The fact that I received the customary excuses such as not having received any complaints before and that they had received compliments on the service persons work were made from whole cloth. I would have attributed this to a "bad day" but the bizarre behavior clearly underlies larger issues.

COD should know better. This company has a good reputation to protect and prevarication is no way to do this, reality is the only option. Customer relations training is in order for one of the field staff as well as the office and management. Both the individual handling the telephone inquiries and the management person who did return my call were rude and attempted to be condescending.
