Ripoff

Alaskan quality services came to my home on 9/21/04 at 11:50 A.M. To do a simple heating/ac tune-up. The tune-up was to have been $49.00 each unit (i have two units). The heating/ac was to have been checked but as it turns out the whole thing was a "bait and switch" game. The slick salesman saw a woman alone had said that even though my units were working fine that a contact switch was pitted and could go bad soon. So he replaced it to the cost of $189.00. Then he said i needed a service agreement for 3years. For $359.00.

It turns out that he never checked the heating on either of the units - only the a/c. I called again and complained that i wanted to cancel my policy that this was not acceptable. The heating was not working. On 10/24/04 they sent out another guy to check that unit. He said the heat was fine. Found out the burners lighted but that the duck were not getting any heat. We never got heat into the rooms the whole winter. I am home all day disabled and had no heat all winter.

I paid one check for $224.59 and the remainder $215.00 on a credit card. I did not have heat in my back unit the entire winter. I called back twice after the 10/24/04 visit and the office said that they changed management. I told them i did not want their 3 year contract as this was a ripoff. I wanted a refund! I contacted my credit card company and have asked they cancel the $215.00 credit card charge as fraudulent. I paid $439.59 for a tune-up and got nothing! I want everyone to no that they are a bad company! Just because they cheat people and have poor quality. They are not a good service company!
