We hired The Duke's Plumbing to put 2 new toilets in, a kitchen faucet and water purifer. They told us they only like to supply their own products but agreed to install our owner supplied kitchen products. Buster finished everything but installing the water purifer. The reason being missing parts.

Buster wanted to be paid in full. My husband and I told him that he did not finish the work. My husband did not want to pay in full because the job was not completed.
Buster PROMISED us he would come back and finish installing the water purifer at no charge.

The Duke's Plumbing sent a $60.00 bill for searching for the missing part for the water purifer. Never once did Buster mention that we would be charged. Had he told us we would have said we will do the searching ourselves or call the manufacturer.

Buster called the day before he was scheduled to finish installing the water purifer. Buster told me that the only way he would not charge us is if we gave him the job of the new shower stall we needed.

I reminded him of his promise. He insisted on the shower job or he would charge us to finish installing the water purifer.

I told him to not bother coming over because I would not pay him to finish installing the water purifer that he PROMISED he would do at no charge. I reminded him he was paid in full and only because he PROMISED to come back and finish installing the water purifer at no charge. He was shocked that I would not give in to his harassment.

I had to pay someone else to finish installing the water purifer. It turns out that the guy who finished installing the water purifer told us that the water line from our ice maker (refrigerator/freezer) was cut. The ice maker line was used for the water purifer.

Now I have to hire another plumber to run a line to our ice maker so that we can have ice cubes again. I contacted the Better Business Bureau about the problem. All we were asking was for the $60.00 back.

We would have never trusted The Duke's Plumbing to come back into our home to do anything. I even inclosed a copy of the report that was in the Rip-off website about The Duke's Plumbing.

It is unfortunate I never saw this website first. I would have never used The Duke's Plumbing. The BBB sent me a letter of what will be reported to the public.

"Although the customer disputed the company's response, based on BBB experience the company properly addressed all the issues of the complaints"

We did not get $60.00 we asked for. We feel that the Better Business Bureau let us down and it is not the first time.

We always felt the BBB was to help the consumer but now we think if it is a company in Florida they look the other way.
