I had ordered a coffee table from Barnes Furniture back on August 21 and I was told that it would be delivered with in 6 to 8 weeks and I would receive a courtesy call informing me of its arrival. 9 weeks later, I never received a call.

I took it upon myself to contact the Barnes Furniture location that I purchased the coffee table from and I was told by Joanne that she would look into it and get back in touch with me that day. I never heard from her.

I called the next day and Joanne apologized for not contacting me, she said she was so busy that she forgot. Nice to see there is a sense of responsibilty to its paying customers. So anyway, she says she will look into it and call me back with in an hour, I never heard back from her.

I called the next day and Joanne was unavailable. The secretary said she would mention it to her and give me a call back. I received a call from the secretary only to hear that Joanne will look into it and call me back. I never received a call back. The next day I called (4th day) I reached Joanne and I was told that it would be a month later. I was angry but I was understanding and patient.

A month later and I didn't receive a phone call. I called the Barnes location where I purchased the coffee table and it still hadn't arrived at the warehouse. I asked where was it?"It's still on the boat", no definitive answer was given. The weekend following that call I went into the store to speak to Joanne and she had left for the day. I was told then that it would arrive on Dec. 24th. So I decided to wait.

Dec. 24th came and I called that afternoon. I gave me last name that I have been using for the 31 years I've been alive and I was told that I said something else. Great customer service response. At any rate, I haven't been given any courtesy calls. I haven't had anyone show any type of concern for my purchase or for the constant delay in delivery or the were abouts of my coffe table. Still no one is able to give me a definitive answer as to where it is, what has happened and when it definitely will arrive.

I am at my wits end with these incompetent and deceitfull people. I will return the end table that I did purchase and demand my money back for the coffee table. I will take my business to a company knows the value of a customer, that will deliver a purchased product and will do what they say they will do.

Barnes Furniture is more then willing to take my money with out feeling any need to deliver the product that I purchased.
