Hewlett Packard
EPrint Compatibility with 8500 Pro

Computers & Services

My printer is out of warranty and just because I want to find out from Tech support if it is upgradable to ePrint so I can print from the iPhone or iPad I was told that I have to PAY A FEE. Are you kidding me? To find out if I can pay HP more money to perform an upgrade I have to pay you just to find out. This is a horrible way to do business.

I have an HP Officejet 8500, so it's not exactly the bottom of the line. I even bought the extra paper tray for it. But because it is the 2009 model, A909g, even though I bought it in I can't use ePrint and the only solution is to buy a new printer?!?! This is the last printer I buy from HP. I will tell everyone I know not to buy this crappy printer or any of your other products with customer support like this.

To top it off the 8500 will randomly decide it needs to clean or realign itself just because it hasn't been used in a day or so. I've also have to have the print head replaced on it within the first year, which shows what a great quality printer it is. Lastly, the scanning software is a true pain to use with how it makes you save the files.

Don't buy HP printers.
